Creative God Solutions
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
Proverbs 3:5-6

When Jesus encountered his first disciples, they had been fishing all night without catching anything. They were weary and discouraged. Luke 5:4-6 tells the story:

“And when he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”  And Simon answered, “Master, we toiled all night and took nothing! But at your word I will let down the nets.” And when they had done this, they enclosed a large number of fish, and their nets were breaking.”

The disciples were frustrated and tired. And then Jesus showed up. Suddenly, their work was taken from naturally unsuccessful to supernaturally successful. When God shows up, anything is possible. We can experience unexpected, supernatural solutions to problems we couldn’t solve on our own. However, we must partner with Him in order to experience God-solutions. The fishermen chose to do what Jesus said even though it made no sense. Why would there suddenly be fish when there hadn’t been fish all night? Yet, when they responded to the word of Jesus, their nets suddenly were overflowing. Jesus then invited them to a higher calling, becoming fishers of men.

In the same way, God is releasing creative solutions for everyday problems that also bring an impact to the kingdom of God. He is releasing solutions for finances, health, and relationships. God-solutions cover all the details. But He is always inviting us into something higher. It’s not just about paying your bills, but about advancing the kingdom. He sees the end from the beginning and He has answers to prayers we don’t even know we need to pray yet! If you’ve been faced with an impossible situation, ask God for His solutions! If you’ve been feeling boxed in, stuck, or overwhelmed at the mountains before you, it’s time for a God solution. The solution likely won’t come from just “doing more” or “trying harder,” but moving with the Holy Spirit. Sometimes, a God solution looks like simply trying one more time. Sometimes a God solution looks like doing something completely different. With God, all things are possible. 

Acceleration & Momentum
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Galatians 6:9

“Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look, blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills. I’ll make everything right again for my people Israel.”
Amos 9:13-14 MSG

There are seasons of pressing in and praying and there are seasons to run, where God does things swiftly. For many, it is a season of acceleration and momentum–time to experience a dynamic shift in finances, health, and relationships. Sometimes, acceleration takes time to build. Just as a snowball gains momentum while rolling down a hill, sometimes momentum starts slow and increases. Right now, seek the heart of God without needing an outcome. Seek Him for who He is. Seek Him because He is good. 

God will bring the right shifts at the right time. He is placing His hand upon the work of your hands. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap a harvest. Trust Him. Trust and responsibility are required in this season. When God brings momentum, you’ll need to remain close to His heart. Ask God how to steward momentum when it comes. For with acceleration and momentum, come opportunities. Ask God to show you the opportunities He is breathing on and say “no” to everything else. 

Partnering With the Presence
For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, “In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.”
Isaiah 30:15

Have you felt the pressure to bring promises in your life to pass? Do these thoughts sound familiar? If I only worked harder, did more, or showed up perfectly…then everything would work out. Then the life partner would show up. Then the promotion would arrive. Then the dream would come to pass. Then the prayers would be answered. 

Right now, God is inviting you to lay down striving, performance, and hustle. He’s inviting you to pick up surrender and trust. It’s time to stop putting your faith in what you can accomplish on your own, what other people think, or how things look on the outside. Instead, put your faith in God and partner with him! Lay down your right to understand right now…and trust in the One who sees all, who knows all, and who is outside of time.  Give the burdens to God. It’s not on you to make everything happen. Rather, partner with Him. Take action from a place of peace and connection to His Presence. He is with you. 

Surrendered Authority
Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Matthew 18:18

Surrender and trust sometimes feel like powerless moves. It can feel scary to give up control and trust God. However, when you relinquish control, you step into partnership and into God’s authority. God is teaching His people to move from His authority and power. Surrender is actually a catalyst to accessing the Holy Spirit’s power and authority. 

God wants to give His children authority. Just as Jesus gave His disciples authority saying, “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do” (John 14:12), so He is giving us His authority. Jesus stated, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28.18-20). We are to walk in His authority. We are to move in His name. We have authority on earth because Jesus has authority. This isn’t because we’ve worked hard, rather because we are operating in the finished work of the cross. 

It’s time to step into your authority as a child of God and as a disciple of Jesus. Let go of powerlessness and fear and move from His authority. You are not trapped in any situation or circumstance. You are positioned for breakthrough. This doesn’t come from striving or hustle. Rather, this authority comes from surrender and trust. As you spend time in the Presence of God, you will have confidence to speak His truth, to step out in faith, and to walk where He is leading.
